What makes our cider different?
If you've tried our cider, you probably noticed something strikingly different. The flavor is unmatched and we're here to tell you why.
PLANNING & BEGINNINGS
It begins by choosing the right rootstock and variety combination to achieve the desired characteristics of a specific apple. We understand that those decisions that we make at this point of the process affect the final product. We carefully graft and care for unique varieties, that years later, become cider apple trees.
GROWING
After the initial stages of tree infancy, we transplant those trees into an orchard site. There we help promote healthy and natural growth as the trees develop. Once planted, it takes 3-4 years before any apples are produced and used. We spend that development time encouraging proper tree structure.
NURTURING
We care for the trees meticulously as they begin bearing fruit. We prune and water our trees to keep the trees healthy and promote growth. We use sustainable methods and all of our apples are organically grown and certified.
HARVEST
We hand-pick our apples when they are at optimal flavor. Each variety of cider requires different sugar levels and flavors, so our apples are picked primarily in the months of September and October.
PRODUCTION
We wash and sort our apples, and then grind and press the juice out of them with 3500 lbs of pressure. Every press day we are testing our cider to make sure it has the right balance of flavors. Because nothing is added to our cider, it provides a "crisp apple flavor".
FINAL STAGES
We filter and pasteurize our cider to make sure it is appealing and safe. We then lightly carbonate and bottle, label, and package our cider.
